Privacy policy

This policy explains how Busted Minds Search (also called BM Search), including its Android app, handles information when you use its features or connect a Busted Minds Account.
Information you provide
We process the queries, follow-up questions, and reports you submit. A report may include the related query and response, your selected reason, optional details, and—if you are signed in—your account identifier.
If you sign in, Busted Minds Search receives basic account status and profile information such as your username, display name, email address, and profile picture from the Busted Minds Account service.
Information stored on your device
Some preferences and recent activity may be stored locally in your browser or app. You can clear this information through your device or browser storage settings. Locally stored information does not by itself create a Busted Minds Account record.
Service providers
We use service providers to deliver requested features, operate and secure the service, and present relevant content. Information needed to complete your request may be processed by those providers under their own terms and privacy policies.
Location-based features are optional. If you choose to use one, your device may supply location information needed to provide the requested result. Your selected location may also be stored locally on your device.
Activity used to complete a request is not added to your Busted Minds Account profile or used for unrelated personalization unless we tell you otherwise and provide any choice required by law.
How we use and retain information
We use information to provide search, AI, weather, account, security, abuse-prevention, and support features. AI-answer reports are retained while we review and resolve safety or quality issues, then deleted or anonymized when no longer reasonably needed. Service providers may retain request data according to their own terms and legal obligations.
Sharing and security
We share information only with service providers needed to operate the feature you request, to protect users and the service, or when legally required. We do not sell your personal information. We use access controls and encrypted transport, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can search as a guest, decline location access, choose when AI summaries run, clear local app data, or sign out. You can also request deletion of your Busted Minds Account and associated data.
Children and changes
BM Search is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will revise the effective date on this page.
